Kim & Chris’s Wedding

Kim and Chris’s wedding day was…well how can I put it…very very wet!! I am slightly obsessed with checking the weather forecast when I’ve got weddings, at the start of the week it was only looking mildly bad with scattered showers and cloud by Friday it was heavy rain all day predicted for Saturday! For an early September wedding it certainly through some challenging weather for their big day!

The location for Kim & Chris’s Wedding was Cartmel, a lovely little village 2 miles or so from Grange-Over-Sands. They chose a lovely Methodist Church by the river complete with wooden timber frames inside and big enough for all their guests.

After the Ceremony, Kim & Chris travelled in style with their friends vintage car to their reception venue which was Cartmel Racecourse only a stone throw away.

What made Kim & Chris’s Wedding different was that they brought along their cute dog Maggie!! She was very well behaved in the Ceremony and Reception. She was a very popular addition with the wedding guests as well as myself!

Kim & Chris never let the weather destroy their big day (after all it is The Lake District) and I couldn’t of asked for a better couple and happy bunch of people to brave the elements with. So this one is for all the couples who get a rainy day. Who eat their afternoon tea picnic inside. Who put up with getting wet hair and muddy heels and dirty dresses. Who rise above it all in the name of true love.

Please view a selection of their photos from their big day below:
