Heaves Hotel March Wedding

I was delighted to photograph and be apart of Sam & Mary’s wedding on the 5th March 2016 at the Heaves Hotel Levens, near Kendal.

The Venue is a Georgian Mansion set within 10 acres of gardens, woodlands and parkland and has views of the Pennines,  Kent Estuary and Lakeland hills. It became a country house hotel in 1947 and continues today- offering itself as a wedding venue, restaurant and hotel.

Mary chose to have an untraditional wedding dress, which was a beautiful long blue gown from Edinburgh, while Sam had a lovely suit to compliment the dress. They had a total of 75 guests at the venue, 50 were able to be seated during the ceremony and the rest stood at the back overlooking in excitement. Sam & Mary are quite the explorers and this was proven in the variety of cakes that were made as part of their wedding cake(s) *see my photo, in the shapes of mountains and Lego climbing people! It certainly was an interesting twist to the traditional wedding cake. They also had climbing rope knots as table placements for the wedding breakfast matching the theme.

I’m pleased Sam & Mary love the photographs from their day. Above is a small collection of photographs from their wedding day … enjoy!
